The Niel Gow Walk

Follow in the footsteps of Niel Gow as you experience the gorgeous countryside walk to his cottage in Inver, lead by local and renowned musician, Pete Clark.

World class concerts

Enjoy a variety of performances and concerts from a range of internationally renowned musicians across the weekend.

The Gow Gathering

As part of the Niel Gow festival we are now including ‘The Gow Gathering’, which offers a specific package of workshops & sessions aimed at those who want to improve their tune repertoire. Workshops are booked as a block of six over the weekend, mostly tutored by the artists performing in the concerts.

Sessions

No festival is complete without a grand session at the end of the night. Whether you would like to play along, or just immerse yourself in the music, head along to the pub and join in with the craic until the early hours of the morning. Sessions are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights.

Where are we?

The Niel Gow Festival is held across Dunkeld and Birnam. Dunkeld is the oldest settlement in the highlands of Perthshire, dating back to the 6th century. Situated 13 miles south of Pitlochry on the A9, Dunkeld and Birnam offers stunning scenery sitting alongside the banks of the River Tay.
